Privacy policy

This policy explains how Land Records (“we”, “us”) handles personal data when you use Land Records (www.landrecords.app and landrecords.app). We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
What we collect

We do not collect your UPI PIN, bank account password or card details. Payments happen in your own UPI app.
Records about other people
Land records you buy name landowners and other people. These come from official revenue records. We use them only to supply the record to you. When you buy a record, you are responsible for using any personal data in it lawfully.
Cookies
- This website (www.landrecords.app) sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.
- The app (landrecords.app) uses a cookie to keep you signed in. It is needed for the service to work.
How we use your data
We use your data only to run the service: to sign you in, supply records, manage your wallet, answer you, prevent fraud and misuse, and meet legal duties. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Google, which handles sign-in when you choose “Sign in with Google”.
- Service providers that host and run the service for us, such as hosting and email delivery: [list of service providers]. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, such as a valid order from a court or a tax authority.

How long we keep it
- Your account and My records: while your account is open, and [retention period] after you close it.

Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- ask us to correct, complete or update it
- ask us to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it (for example, payment records)
- withdraw your consent, by closing your account. This does not affect anything done before.
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or cannot act yourself
- complain to our Grievance Officer, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied

Security
We protect your data with reasonable security practices, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Children
The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Complaints
Write to [email protected] with “Complaint” in the subject line.
We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app.
